This ware is made from white clay and features bright vibrant colors and local material. This piece was wheel thrown then altered to achieve a swooping rim. After drying, Terra Sigillata, slips, and local aggregate are applied on the vessel's exterior for decoration. Then it is glazed and fired to 2200°F. After firing, the piece is wet/dry hand-sanded for a soft, smooth feel. Each hand-made object is unique.
