2017 CERAMIC STUDIO TOUR

This Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25–26
10 a.m.–5 p.m.
at Studio Sites throughout Metro Phoenix

Every spring, Arizona State University’s Ceramics Research Center sponsors a self-guided tour of AZ ceramic artists in the Phoenix metro area. Artists who are not local to Phoenix are hosted by someone who has their home studio in the area. This will be my first year as a participating artist, and I will be hosted by Tiffany Bailey alongside fellow artists Magda Gluszek and Jason Bohnert. All four of us will be demonstrating ceramic techniques on both days of the tour.

Come check us out at Studio 9 on the map (37 E. 14th St. Tempe, AZ).

Download a map, check the demonstration schedule and find out more about the tour here.

Now in its 16th year, ASU Art Museum Ceramic Research Center's self-guided Ceramic Studio Tour is a Valley-wide event showcasing the work of professional ceramic artists in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The tour offers the public a rare opportunity to view working and living spaces of participating artists and view demonstrations of wheel-throwing, hand-building and glazing techniques. Participating artists have a wide range of both functional and sculptural artwork on exhibit and for sale.

During the tour, the ASU Art Museum Ceramic Research Center will hold special hours: Saturday 10 a.m.–7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The new exhibition Flowing Beyond Heaven and Earth will be on view, and ASU Clay Club will be hosting a sale of student work.

Check out the map to plan your weekend in advance. Please be aware of possible road closures due to the Phoenix Marathon.

The 2017 Ceramic Studio Tour is organized by the Artists' Advisory Committee, ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center and ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.
