This ware is made from black clay and features bright vibrant colors and local material. After drying, Terra Sigillata, slips, and local aggregate are applied on the vessel's exterior for decoration. Then it is glazed and fired to 2200°F. After firing, the piece is wet/dry hand-sanded for a soft, smooth feel. Each hand-made object is unique.
