HOT HOT HOT! This beautiful espresso cup is just as much fun to use as it was to create, and Coffee lovers will appreciate the taste of their espresso in it.

This ware is made from black clay and features bright vibrant colors and local material. After drying, Terra Sigillata, slips, and local aggregate are applied on the vessel's exterior for decoration. I then use stencils to add a text layer of where the local materials originated from. This cup has local materials found on a hike in Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona. Then it is glazed and fired to 2200°F. After firing, the piece is wet/dry hand-sanded for a soft, smooth feel. Each hand-made object is unique.
